Almost anyone can fit a tow bar, all you need is a few basic tools, a bit of common sense and some patients.

Whether you buy a full fitting kit from us or your local tow bar centre the kit should be supplied with all parts, full fitting instructions & a wiring diagram. These are essential so you can check that you have all the parts, nuts, bolts, washers, spacers, spreader plates and bushes required to carry out a successful fit. Without these you could turn an hours worth of work into a day long job.

If you are thinking of fitting a second hand tow bar it is also essentail to ensure that the tow bar you have is complete and definately fits the vehicle that you intend to fit it to. If you do not have the correct tow bar and fittings you could be putting yourself & other people at risk if the tow bar fails.

General tools that you will need are as follows:
Socket set with 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 19mm & 24mm Sockets
10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 19mm & 24mm Spanners
(If you do not have a 24mm spanner an adjustable would surfice)
Flat End Screw driver large
Small Electrical Screw Driver
Posidrive screw driver large & small
Stanley Knife
Side Cutters
Pliers
12volt Electrical Test Light
Electrical or Insulation Tape
Cable Ties

In some cases you may need the following tools:

10.5mm Drill Bit
